2 Turkish cargo ships collided at Istanbul Anchorage, both seriously damaged

General cargo ships BURHAN DIZMAN and TURAN C collided at Ahirkapi Anchorage, Istanbul, Marmara sea, in the afternoon Dec 2.

Both ships remained at Anchorage with TURAN C taken further off her designated anchorage, shortly after collision. BURHAN DIZMAN sustained serious damages portside in superstructure area, TURKAN C suffered bow and forecastle damages. TURKAN C was en route to Constanta, BURHAN DIZMAN was en route to Novorossiysk.
