44th Istanbul Euraisa Marathon held in Türkiye

About 60,000 Turkish and foreign runners crossed from Asia to Europe in the Istanbul Euraisa Marathon on Sunday, which was taking place for 44th time.

“Undoubtedly the most beautiful run in the world. The 44th NKolay Eurasia Marathon, which was run between two continents, was run with the good wishes of athletes and participants from all over the world. Thanks to everyone who participated,” Ekrem Imamoglu, Mayor of Istanbul, said after the race.

In this year’s marathon, Kenya’s Robert Kipkemboi won the men’s title, breaking the course record with a time of 2 hours 9 minutes and 37 seconds. Ethiopia’s Sechale Dalasa came first in the women’s, breaking her career record.

The marathon also saw a high number of Balkan attendees and the opening of a new park dedicated to peace and friendship in the Balkan region.
