A fisherman was allegedly shot by security personnel in Mankachar district Assam

Along the Assam-Bangladesh border when a civilian was allegedly shot by security personnel in Gudoli village in South Salmara Mankachar district of Assam.

Monirujjaman succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Family members claim that he had gone fishing when the incident occurred. Angry locals came alleging that the fisherman was unnecessarily targeted.
