Arunachal petrol pump driver shot at by abductors dies a week later

A petrol depot employee, who was shot at during a kidnapping incident in Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai district on April 26, succumbed to the bullet injuries at a private hospital in Dibrugarh on Tuesday night.

The miscreants opened fire on Mithai Marandi (28) thrice while they were abducting the cashier, Dinesh Sharma, of a Bharat Petroleum oil depot at Momong village. Police are yet to trace Sharma despite launching a massive manhunt.
