Assam Police held 44-year-old man for ‘killing’ his brother

A 44-year-old man was on Sunday arrested for allegedly hacking his elder brother to death in Putni tea garden at Patharkandi in Karimganj district.

The accused has been identified as Hero Prajapati, while the victim as Rajen Prajapati, police said.

Police said a scuffle broke out between them over a property dispute. He attacked Rajen and his family with a sharp weapon where Rajen died on the spot.
