Two kids of a family were killed in a fire incident in Assam’s capital city Guwahati on Thursday.
The incident took place at the Basisthapur area when a fire broke out at one Tushar Goswami’s house near the BSNL office.
Locals said that two kids – seven-year-old Iban Goswami and his four-year-old brother Ishan Goswami – were killed in the fire incident when they were playing on the first floor of the house.
The parents of the kids were not present in the house when the fire broke out.
Locals alleged that the fire service personnel had reached the spot late and thus the fire could not be doused on time.
When the fire tenders reached the spot, the blaze had engulfed the entire house, locals said.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
