Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha demands for separate Gorkhaland

NN Bureau, February 26: Today at the 20th National Council Meet, the president of the (BGP) addressed a press conference at Dispur Press Club. In the Conference, the president Prakash Dahal demanded for a separate Gorkhaland. According to him, Gorkhas are also an indigenous community and so it’s constitutional and land rights should be protected.

Dahal said that they do not have any homeland in India, so they want an early resolution to the long pending of the Gorkhaland with a permanent political solution for which the national council also called on Government of India and West Bengal.

They also informed that Chief Minister of Assam and his council of Ministers have handed the request to the Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday for early implementation.
