Borsa Istanbul down at opening session

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 4,946.62 points on Tuesday, down 0.23%, or 11.16 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was down 0.1% to close Monday at 4,957.77 points, with a daily trading volume of 127 billion Turkish liras ($6.82 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 18.6377 as of 10.25 a.m. local time (0725GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 19.5420, while a British pound traded for 22.7264 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $83.48 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,782.95.
