Cotton Alumni Launches Japanese Language Course
N.N. BUREAU, Feb 29, 2020: Cotton Alumni Association is launching a Japan Education & Skill Development Center (JESDC) in Guwahati. The association proposed to organize a 6- month Certificate Course in Japanese Language Skills and Culture in Association with the Sewa Foundation. The courses will be conducted in the Cotton Alumni Bhawan situated at Panbazar, Guwahati. The course is first of its genre of Japanese language in the Northeastern region based on the functional method of language teaching providing for complete student- teacher interface. There will be a full time faculty stationed in the premises of the Cotton Alumni Bhawan.
Students are expected to gainer the basic skills of Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading (LSWR) in the Japanese language while being prepared for appearing in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT).
Classes for the first batch will commenced from mid- March, 2020. Classes will be held for two hours a day, twice a week. The fee for six-month course has been fixed at Rs 20000 per candidate. There is a 25 percent (Rs 5000) fee waiver for the first batch of students provided as an introductory offer.
