Himanta Biswa Sarma hits back at organisations opposing English medium teaching in government schools

Recently Assam government moved to make the learning of maths and science subjects in English medium from Class III till Class X in all government schools of Assam.

Reacting to the opposition of All Assam Students Union and the Asom Sahitya Sabha, Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “We have seen children of those opposing study in English medium schools however they do not want others to study. Let them give an affidavit their children will not study in English medium school”.

He asked these organizations not to play with the sentiments of common people for their personal motives.
