HITO Threatens of taking up guns amid protest with flowers: Meghalaya
The Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organization (HITO) on October 14 threatened to arm its members with AK-47 eifles if the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government continues to discriminate against the people of the state.
The warning came during a flower protest against the government’s failure to suspend the two police officers, including a DSP, for their involvement in the recent use of tear gas against the contractual teachers.
These contractual teachers lost their jobs in 2019 after failing to clear the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Tests (MTET).
