A woman was found inside a box in Guwahati’s Lalung Gaon on Thursday evening, June…
It’s okay to be late
NN Bureau, 17th February: The Publication Board of Assam will organize the 33rd Guwahati Book Fair at AEI Chandmari playground from 14th to 25th March 2020. It will be inaugurated by two prolific artists, Dr. Pratibha Ray from Orissa and Tara Noesantara from Indonesia.
When we asked Pramod Kalita, Secretary of Assam Publication Board about the effect of CAA and the reason for its delay. Mr. Kalita replied that the field where the fair was going to be held was occupied by the person for protests which is the main reason for delay.
The first Book Fair in Guwahati was held in 1984. It was organized in collaboration with National Book Trust of India.
Well, the preparations are going on for the Book Fair but we have to see how much it will be profitable. And the impact of CAA over the readers.
