Man beheads fellow villagers for Rs 500, walks into police station with severed head to surrender

Assam man beheaded a 55-year-old and then, walked for 25 km in the dead of the night with the decapitated head to surrender at a police station.

Inspector Deben Bora, officer in-charge of Rangapara police station, said that Hemram lost his life as a result of a dispute over Rs 500. He had asked for a loan of Rs 500 from the assailant earlier in the day but the latter refused.
