Man with throat slit found on Assam-Mizoram border
A 44-year-old man’s body, with several injury marks on it, was recovered from near the Assam-Mizoram border in Karimganj district on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Fakar Uddin, hailed from Kaliganj and was a rug seller by profession. He had been living in a rented house in Nivia Bazar for nearly three decades.
A senior police official said, “Fakar’s body was found in a jungle in Satkoraganai near the Assam-Mizoram border, about 80km from Karimganj, on Wednesday. His throat was slit and there were multiple injury marks on the body.
