Meghalaya Police arrested 3 suspected dacoits from West Garo Hills

Police have arrested three suspected dacoits along with arms and ammunition in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills district, said officials on Saturday.

Based on a tip-off, a police team from the West Garo Hills district late Friday night conducted a counter-insurgency operation at the Nikikona village area under Phulbari police station and arrested three dreaded criminals.

West Garo Hills district SP Vivekanand Singh Rathore said the operation was launched based on secret information. Police also recovered arms and ammunition from them.
