One dead, eight injured as car falls into gorge in Nagaland

One woman was killed and 8 others severely injured in a car accident which occurred near Phesama village, Kohima district early Saturday morning.

Additional SP and PRO, Relo T Aye informed that the vehicle, a white Scorpio was heading to Manipur from Assam when it plunged down a gorge around 250 feet from the road. The cause of the accident was yet to be ascertained till the time of filing the report as statement from the surviving occupants was yet to be recorded.
