Population in Arunachal Pradesh recorded 17.03 lakhs till December 2018

The projected total number of population in Arunachal Pradesh as on December 31, 2018 is 17.03 lakhs. This was informed in a written reply in the State Assembly today by the government.

As per 2011 census the population of Arunachal Pradesh was recorded 13.83 lakhs. According to the Economics and statistic Department there are 11.7 lakhs APSTs and 5.3 lakhs non-APSTs in the state.

Papum Pare District has the highest population with 2.17 lakhs. The third session of the 7th Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly began on Tuesday.

The four-day session will conclude on Friday.
