Woman found death in Guwahati city hotel

A woman named Tazlima Khatoon was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a city hotel on Wednesday morning with her a gag in her mouth. According to police sources, the victim and a man – who introduced himself as her husband Faizuddin (32) – had checked into the Hotel Rajhans at SS Road in Fancy Bazar on January 14.

Hotel employees found Tazlima Khatoon lying dead on the floor with a gag in her mouth and informed the police. Faizuddin is absconding, the sources said, adding that when contacted Faizuddin’s family in Lakhipur in the Goalpara district said that the victim was not his wife as he is married to another woman.
