Assam Government Plans New Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Barak Valley

The Assam government is considering setting up a Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Barak Valley as part of its decentralization efforts. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pijush Hazarika announced the plan on Saturday, following the inauguration of a new CM’s Secretariat in Dibrugarh. The move aims to reduce the need for citizens to travel to Dispur for government-related work.
