Illegal Drug Racket Exposed Inside Nagaon Central Jail

A surprise inspection by Nagaon DC Debashish Sharma and SSP Swapnaneel Deka uncovered drugs being supplied to inmates by two jail staff, Patangi and Hazarika, allegedly aiding convict Salim’s drug network. Officials also found inmates enjoying contraband, canteens selling meat and drinks, and misuse under jail superintendent Mukul Bhuyan’s watch. A probe has been ordered.
