Assam to Build 28 Rural Bridges Under World Bank-Funded ARRBP

The Assam government will construct 28 new rural bridges across 12 districts at a cost of ₹85.88 crore under the World Bank-funded Assam Resilient Rural Bridges Program (ARRBP). Part of a larger plan for 1,200 bridges, the projects aim to boost connectivity for 1,739 villages, improving access to markets, schools, and hospitals. Completion timelines range from 12 to 30 months. The World Bank has approved $452 million for the initiative.
