Nagaon Launches Voter Roll Revision Drive Ahead of 2026 Assam Polls

The District Election Office, Nagaon has launched an extensive voter roll revision and awareness campaign across seven assembly constituencies ahead of the 2026 Assam Assembly elections. The drive began on December 27, with booth-level officers conducting door-to-door verification, focusing on first-time voters, women, and minority communities.

A total of 104 new polling stations have been added, taking the district’s count to 1,818. As per the draft roll published on January 1, 2025, Nagaon has 19.37 lakh voters. Special verification camps will be held on December 28–29, while the final electoral roll will be released on February 10, 2026. Authorities urged eligible voters to participate to ensure inclusive and fair elections.
