ECI Urges Assam Voters to Verify Electoral Rolls Before January 22 Deadline

The Election Commission of India has urged Assam residents to verify their names in the draft electoral rolls as January 22 is the last date for filing claims and objections under the ongoing Special Revision. The Chief Electoral Officer, Assam, said eligible citizens can submit Form 6 for new registration, Form 7 for deletion or objections, and Form 8 for corrections or address changes. Applications may be filed with Booth Level Officers, EROs or AEROs, or online through the ECINET app and the voters.eci.gov.in portal. Voters have been advised to ensure timely verification, with assistance available through BLOs or the toll-free helpline 1950.
