Last Session of 15th Assam Assembly Begins, Vote on Account on Feb 17

The final session of the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly begins on Monday, with Finance Minister Ajanta Neog set to present the Vote on Accounts Budget for 2026–27 on February 17. As Assembly elections are due in March–April, a full State Budget will be presented by the next government.

The four-day Budget Session will open with the Governor’s Address, followed by Question Hour, debates, and discussion on supplementary demands. The session will conclude with voting on the Vote on Accounts and passage of the Assam Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill, 2026.
