Assam Police Rescue 79 Cattle in Dhubri Anti-Smuggling Drive

Assam Police intensified its crackdown on illegal cattle transportation in Dhubri district, rescuing 79 cattle during multiple operations on Monday. Police teams intercepted a boat allegedly being used to transport cattle through a riverine route.

Three persons were arrested in connection with the case. Police said the crackdown on cattle-smuggling networks operating through riverine and border areas will continue, with strict action against those involved.
