NSCN-IM Denies Role in Kamjong Ambush

Kamjong: The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) has denied allegations linking its cadres to the October 15 ambush near the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur’s Kamjong district. Hatneikim Haokip was killed in the attack, her husband Jangkhongam Haokip was injured, and two other travellers were reported missing.

The Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights and Kuki Inpi Manipur condemned the incident and demanded a time-bound forensic investigation. NSCN-IM dismissed the allegations as malicious propaganda, while Manipur Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the missing persons and identify the attackers.
