North East Tourism Mart Returns to Tawang After 13 Years

Tawang: The North East Tourism Mart is set to begin in Arunachal Pradesh on October 29, marking its return to Tawang after 13 years. Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu are expected to attend the inaugural programme, featuring the North East Bazaar and cultural performances.

The event will showcase tourism opportunities across all eight northeastern states. Business-to-business meetings on October 30 will promote tourism partnerships, while discussions will focus on the region’s concert economy and improving tourist access to protected areas.
