NFR Inaugurates Upgraded Passenger Facilities at Kamakhya Railway Station

Guwahati: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava inaugurated upgraded passenger facilities at Kamakhya Railway Station, including improved traffic lanes, a covered pick-up and drop-off area, expanded waiting facilities, Wi-Fi and an integrated passenger information system.

Platform No. 4 has been renovated, increasing seating capacity from 150 to 360, alongside additional drinking-water booths and improved drainage. The station’s access road to the Coaching Depot has also been widened to enhance connectivity and operational efficiency.
