₹9,000 Aid for 40 Lakh Families Under Orunodoi Scheme on March 10

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that around 40 lakh beneficiary families will receive ₹9,000 each under the Orunodoi scheme on March 10. The announcement was made during a live social media interaction before the seventh day of the Jana Ashirwad Yatra in Margherita.

The financial assistance will be distributed through meetings organised across panchayats, municipal wards, and autonomous council areas in Assam. The total disbursement is expected to reach about ₹3,600 crore, making it one of the largest financial assistance programmes in the state.

The main event will be held at Jyoti Bishnu Kala Kendra in Khanapara, while similar programmes will take place across the state for beneficiaries.
