108 Ambulance Employees’ Protest Enters 15th Day in Guwahati

The indefinite protest by the All Assam 108 Mrityunjoy Employees Association continued at Chachal as it entered its 15th day, with over a thousand workers participating. The employees have been on strike since December 1 after the deadline for joining under GVK lapsed. Protesters are demanding equal pay for equal work, better job security, salary revision, insurance coverage and clarity on overtime benefits, and have appealed to the Chief Minister to reconsider his earlier remarks on the issue.
