108 Emergency Staff Continue Protest for Seventh Day

Members of the All Assam 108 Mrityunjoy Employees Association continued their protest for the seventh day after failing to reach an agreement before the joining deadline with GVK. Over a thousand workers gathered, demanding equal pay, job security, revised salaries, insurance and overtime benefits. Protesters also urged the Chief Minister to reconsider his earlier remarks on their grievances.
