13 Sentenced to Life for 1996 Triple Murder in Dhubri

A Bilasipara court sentenced 13 individuals to life imprisonment for their role in a 1996 triple murder in the Boalkamri area of Dhubri district. The convicts, armed with sharp weapons, killed Sayed Ali, Moynal Hoque, and Asur Uddin as they tried to protect Majid Ali from an attack over a land dispute.

After years of legal proceedings, Judge Farhana Sultana delivered the verdict, bringing justice to the victims’ families. Each convict was also fined.
