15 Railway Quarters Vacated in Eviction Drive at Uzanbazar

A joint eviction drive was conducted at Uzanbazar Railway Colony in Guwahati on Thursday, resulting in the vacation of 15 railway quarters.

The operation was carried out by officials of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) following an order issued by the Estate Officer of its Maligaon headquarters. The drive cleared several units across four quarter blocks.

Senior railway officials supervised the operation, while personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Latasil Police Station were present to maintain law and order.

Authorities said the eviction was carried out to reclaim and restore the railway quarters for administrative use.
