30-Year-Old Wild Elephant Found Dead in Biswanath District

A male elephant, around 30 years old, was found dead in a paddy field in Biswanath district’s Solmari area on Saturday. The anti-depredation squad of the Borgang Range discovered the body. A post-mortem was conducted, and samples were sent to the Assam Forensic Science Laboratory for further analysis. The forest department is investigating the cause of death, and the elephant was buried following necessary protocols.
