5.0 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Assam’s Morigaon

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck Assam’s Morigaon district at 2:25 AM on Thursday, according to the National Center for Seismology. The quake, at a depth of 16 km, caused panic among residents. This follows a 5.1 magnitude tremor in the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday. No damage or casualties have been reported.
