62-Year-Old Man Arrested in Guwahati for Sexual Assault of Minor

Latasil Police in Guwahati arrested 62-year-old Sankar Basfor for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl. The arrest followed a police complaint, and the victim underwent a medical examination at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The Child Welfare Committee has been notified. Basfor faces charges under Section 64(2)(f)(m) of BNS 2023 and Section 6 of the POCSO Act. WSI Trishna Nath is leading the investigation.
