1 arrested in case of illegal nurse appointment

Mukunda Madab Boruah, 41, of Assam’s Kamrup district, was detained on Wednesday by the State Police Special Investigation Cell (SIC), which is looking into the illegal appointment of nurses under the National Health Mission (NHM).

On June 15, 20 SIC filed a case based on a FIR filed by Apong Yangfo of Naharlagun and detained Boruah for assisting in the acquisition of forged and false nursing certificates from the Assam Nursing College.
