Drive to provide homeless shelter resumes in Guwahati

The CMO has announced that the district-level task force for street dweller relief and rehabilitation has resumed operations. In the presence of Anurag Rudra, Assistant Commissioner, and other officials, a number of homeless and destitute people were rescued from the Ulubari Foot Over Bridge and other nearby areas as part of this drive.

It should be noted that this task force was established in the past to ensure that the destitute had a place to stay and was suspended when the key areas were cleared of such people. However, now that the number of such people has increased, the Task Force has been directed to resume their search.
