Assam Government Raises Wages for Provincialized School Tutors

The Assam State Government has increased the wages of lower primary (LP) and upper primary (UP) school tutors whose services were provincialized under the Act of 2017. The Director of Elementary Education issued a directive to ensure adherence to the guidelines, emphasizing that wages should be disbursed only to provincialized tutors. This decision impacts 3,609 LP schools and 6,586 UP schools across the state.
