Tezpur University Student Drowns in Jia Bharali River

Konseng Dutta, a second-semester B.Tech. student at Tezpur University, drowned in the Jia Bharali River while bathing with friends to beat the heat. The incident occurred while he was with friends in the river, and his body was sent for a post-mortem at Tezpur Medical College. The Jia Bharali River, a tributary of the Brahmaputra, originates in Arunachal Pradesh and changes its name from Kameng to Jia Bharali in Assam’s Sonitpur district.
