Fatal Ambulance Accident in Assam’s Goalpara District

A tragic road accident occurred in Assam’s Goalpara district on Thursday, resulting in the death of a 57-year-old woman, Manomati Basumatary, and injuring three others. The incident took place in the Darangiri area when an ambulance lost control, hit a bridge railing, and fell into the water. The ambulance was transporting a patient from Goalpara to Guwahati for better treatment. The accident is believed to have been caused by narrow roads and potholes due to highway expansion work on National Highway 17. The injured individuals were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
