Assam Police Orders Probe Into Mysterious Death of Gang-Rape Accused

Assam police have initiated an Additional Superintendent of Police-level probe into the mysterious death of Tafajjul Islam, the prime accused in a gang-rape case involving a minor at Dhing market. IGP Debajyoti Mukherjee announced the investigation on Wednesday, entrusting Additional Superintendent of Police, Hojai Pallab Tamuli, to lead the inquiry.
