Traditional Boat Race Thrills Thousands at Pahumara River

Around 20,000 spectators gathered along the Pahumara river in Bajali district to witness the traditional boat race on Vijaya Dashami. Organized by No. 2 Medhikuchi Milan Sangha, the event has been a local tradition for over 100 years.

Boats, some 50 feet long and powered by 50 rowers, raced along the river in vibrant colors. The competition, featuring teams like Bajali Express and Moishal Bandhu, captivated the cheering crowd. Maishal Bandhu won the first prize, while Shahnaz came in second.
