Mizoram Teachers Raise Concerns Over Midday Meal Funding Shortage

The Mizoram Primary and Middle School Teachers’ Associations warned they might halt meals from October 18, citing unpaid cooks and rising costs. The School Education Department is in talks with the teachers to resolve the issue, with officials blaming delays in funds from the central government’s PM POSHAN programme.
