Protests Erupt in Silchar Over Hindu Persecution in Bangladesh

Two massive rallies in Silchar on Tuesday protested against Hindu persecution and the detention of Chinmoy Prabhu, a Hindu leader in Bangladesh. The Sanatani Mancha staged a dharna, while the Indian Forum for Bangladesh Peace demanded Prabhu’s release and urged international intervention.

Silchar Congress burned effigies of Md. Yunus, Bangladesh’s interim chief advisor, and Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, accusing them of failing to protect minorities and manage the diplomatic crisis effectively.
