BSF and Police Seize Contraband Worth Crores in Meghalaya

The BSF’s 4th Battalion thwarted a smuggling attempt near the Indo-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya, seizing items worth ₹51.5 lakh.

In Baghora, ₹5.21 crore worth of drugs, including heroin and cannabis, were destroyed during a disposal operation. Separately, South Salmara Police seized 252 grams of heroin valued at ₹2 crore, arresting one suspect. Investigations continue to identify others in the drug network.
