Suspected Murder-Suicide Shocks Bamunimaidam Railway Colony

Three bodies were found inside a railway quarter in Bamunimaidam, identified as Julie Deka, her husband Lohit Thakuria, and their daughter. Julie and her daughter had fatal injuries, while Lohit was found hanging, suggesting a murder-suicide. Lohit reportedly confessed to a relative before taking his life. Julie, a railway employee, had earlier filed a POCSO case against Lohit, leading to his arrest last year. Police and CID are investigating to determine the motive behind the tragedy.
