Man Arrested for Molestation, Attack on Police in Noonmati

Noonmati Police arrested Manoj Kalita alias Pinku (40) for molesting a woman and attempting rape on Tuesday night. Locals alerted the police, who rushed to the scene. During the arrest, the accused attacked officers, injuring three, but was eventually overpowered. A case (No. 33/25) was filed, and he has been remanded to judicial custody as investigations continue.
