Trading Scam Busted in Rani, Kingpin Arrested

Brief: Police in Rani, near Guwahati, arrested Chinmoy Das for allegedly defrauding investors of crores through a fraudulent trading scheme. Das, a resident of Rani Bazar Chowk, promised high returns but refused to return investors’ money, even abusing them. Multiple complaints led to his arrest, and he is now in custody at Palashbari police station. A fresh complaint also accused Das and his family of a Rs 50 crore scam. Investigations are ongoing.
