Dhubri Medical College successfully conducted its first spinal surgery on a 16-year-old girl with a spinal tumor. The procedure, performed under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, was free for the patient. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the achievement, highlighting the state’s advanced medical facilities. The hospital is now equipped for complex surgeries like knee and hip replacements, marking a major step in specialized healthcare in Assam.
